The beautiful thing is that God doesn’t flee when we make mistakes or feel like we’ve 100% blown it.

Are the people you are friends with right now the kind of people who would help you get to Jesus if you needed Him and weren’t sure what to do? Do their actions mostly reflect the character, integrity, honesty, kindness, and thoughts of the future that you want your life to reflect?

If you’re familiar with Job, you know he was a faithful man who refused to curse God and die, as his wife asked him to do. (See Job 2:9). He suffered greatly through many things, and though he asked questions of God, he did not once have concerns or doubts about God’s handling of him. Technically.

Sometimes we find ourselves in places we did not choose, seasons we did not expect, or circumstances we would not have written for ourselves. Yet even there, God can provide, protect, teach, and preserve.

We may look at what others are experiencing and think, “I want that too”, “Must be nice”, or “I’ll gladly trade places.” We may wish our lives looked more exciting, more peaceful, more successful, more beautiful, more connected, or more meaningful. But the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Sometimes the pace of a good walk on the right path slows down so we can sit and catch our breath right before we get back up again and VAULT over the sticks and stones in our way.

When the walk slows down to a crawl that feels more like turtle steps, will we stay joyful and focused on God instead of the discomfort of the unknown?

Speaking or repeating something emphatically, with sincere belief, does not make it true. But God is truth, and He invites us to become people who care about what is true.

But do not let fear, criticism, or mislabeling keep you from obeying God, developing your skills, or sharing what He has placed in you.

Have you ever entered a season where it seemed that you consulted the opinion of others more than you consult your own thoughts or the wisdom of God?

At times, life gently reminds us that we also need to enjoy what God has given us, pay attention to the moment we are in, and take good care of ourselves.

Did you ever think about how there was often a huge crowd around Jesus when He walked this Earth? The Bible doesn’t tell us about every person Jesus healed or about every miracle He performed, but we do get to know about some of the biggest milestones in the history of faith. We can learn from it and let our faith be strengthened.

Sometimes, in the vicissitudes of life, there are steps we have known we needed to take…and it becomes time to walk it out.

Most of us walk in some form every day. We take physical steps, but we are also walking through seasons, relationships, decisions, growth, and faith.
